MindfulPause

A calm pause before adult sites: your own reason, a short reminder, and one next step. English and Arabic.

MindfulPause is a calm pause before an adult site opens. It is a non-profit. It is a friend, not a lock. Install it if you want one honest moment between the impulse and the page. When a listed adult site starts to open, that page does not load. You see the sentence you wrote for yourself, the reason you started, then a short reminder. If you chose Muslim, the reminder is from the Qur'an. If you chose Christian, it is from the Bible. If you chose no religious words, it is a plain line. The line changes each time. Then you pick one next step: pushups, sit with family, put the device down, take a cold shower, or close the tab. There is no continue button and no score of failure. The shared list has 29,000 sites. A normal photo or video stays, including on a normal Reddit feed and a normal TikTok video. Opening an NSFW community, an NSFW post, or a post with an adult picture or video brings up the same pause. A listed TikTok account does too. On TikTok, a video is hidden when its hashtag is adult, and the rest of the feed stays. On Google and other search pages, pictures are hidden when the search itself is adult. A normal search is left alone. This happens on your device. The address you were opening is never sent. What you write stays in the browser. There is no account. Sites you add yourself stay on this device and are not part of the public number. The pause works in English and Arabic. You can turn the extension off. Allow it in Incognito or InPrivate, or it will be absent in a private window. This covers the computer. A phone needs its own app.
