Overview
Automatically suspends inactive tabs to save memory, with smart rules to protect pinned, audible, and whitelisted tabs.
EclipseTabGuard keeps your browser fast by automatically suspending tabs you haven't used in a while freeing up memory without closing anything. How it works: Tabs you haven't visited past a set time limit are quietly suspended in the background • They stay visible in your tab bar, click one to instantly reload it • Currently active, pinned, and audio-playing tabs are never touched • A "Suspend Now" button lets you free memory on demand Smart rules: • Whitelist - add domains that should never be suspended (e.g. your email, Notion, GitHub) • Blacklist - add domains that should always be suspended immediately (e.g. Reddit, YouTube) • Tabs still loading are skipped by default Settings: Click the extension icon to configure the inactivity timeout, toggle rules, and manage your whitelist and blacklist. Everything syncs across devices. Privacy: EclipseTabGuard does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. All suspension logic runs entirely on your device no network requests are made by the extension itself.
