Eclipser is a Chrome extension that applies a dark mode to websites. It transforms web-page appearance on your device. Choose a dark, softened, or original appearance, disable the extension for one site without affecting another, scale text from 75% to 200%, and reduce media glare by 0% to 80% globally or per site; a site can inherit the global media setting. The global switch in Options is the hard ceiling for all sites. WHAT YOU CAN DO ★ Create appearance profiles for an entire site or one specific page. ★ Enable or disable all color, text, and media effects for one site without changing other sites. ★ Scale readable text per site in 5% steps and dim photos, video, canvas, and background images without reading their pixels. A site-specific 0% disables inherited global media dimming on that site. ★ Follow the system theme or use a schedule that can cross midnight. ★ Preserve large photos and videos while adapting small interface icons for dark surfaces. ★ Optionally synchronize supported settings and web profiles through Google Chrome Sync. ★ Export or import settings with a validated, versioned JSON file. ★ Use Pro PDF Dark Mode to open supported HTTPS PDF links in Eclipser's local Dark, Softened, or Original view. Optional automatic opening applies only to direct .pdf links after Chrome grants navigation permission. FREE, TRIAL, AND PRO • Every new installation starts with a 7-day Pro trial. When it ends, the extension continues on Free and keeps every stored setting intact. • Free includes the core dark mode and the first three customized site or page targets. Any saved site- or page-specific customization — including its mode or on/off state — uses one of those three target slots. • Pro unlocks unlimited customized targets, advanced contrast and background-depth controls, scheduling, Google Chrome Sync, and PDF Dark Mode. A valid promotion code can grant time-limited Pro access. • Pro prices are $2.99/month, $17.99/year, or $39.99 lifetime. A licensed account can have up to five active devices. Huzk Ltd publishes Eclipser and provides product support. Transactions use Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe acts as merchant of record; Checkout may display “Sold through Onelink,” and Stripe’s Link/Onelink services provide transaction and order support. Google is not the seller. PRIVACY AND LIMITS Core color, typography, and media appearance processing runs on your device. Page content, page text, form values, passwords, and image or video pixels are never sent to the Eclipser or Huzk Ltd product/licence server. Text scaling and media dimming can remain active in original-color mode. In system forced-colors/high-contrast mode, color and media conversion turn off while text scaling may remain active. Account, promotion, and licence features are optional and run only after you read the in-product disclosure and choose to continue. These requests may send the e-mail or code you enter, privacy-preserving customer/device references, an optional device label, the request IP, and basic technical headers; they never include page content. Cloudflare hosts the service, Resend delivers requested sign-in codes, and Stripe/Link handle checkout, billing, subscriptions, and refunds. See the privacy policy for storage, retention, deletion, and service-provider details. Text and media controls work on ordinary web pages and same-site embedded frames. Cross-origin embedded interfaces, closed components, Picture-in-Picture windows, browser or extension pages, and some protected content cannot be changed. If a page hides its style rules, Eclipser may re-request only the same stylesheet that page already loaded, without cookies or a referrer; cross-origin requests are HTTPS-only and must return CSS. This temporary CSS data stays only in memory and is reused for at most one hour. A selected PDF loads directly from its original website. WHAT'S NEW IN 0.5.1 • Checkout pages and other sites built from design tokens now keep their panels dark and their buttons visible instead of fading to white. • Photo viewers and pop-up dialogs that fade in now open and close normally again on sites such as eBay. • Sites that deliver their styles in one very large file, such as developer.chrome.com, now turn fully dark. • When a site's styles cannot be read, the page is left exactly as the site designed it and the popup says so.
