EchoMarks also continuously preserves browsing activity through automatic session snapshots. For searches where exact words are not enough, EchoMarks provides optional AI-powered semantic discovery. Users can connect their own OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or OpenRouter key and begin a query with ^ to find bookmarks and sessions by meaning. Semantic matches supplement EchoMarks’ immediate local results rather than replacing them, and AI remains completely disabled unless the user explicitly configures and invokes it.
