eBay US Items Only
Overview
Filters eBay searches to US-only items, flags non-US sellers with warning banners, and lets you whitelist trusted sellers.
Stop accidentally buying from overseas sellers on eBay. If you've ever waited weeks for a package only to realize it shipped from halfway around the world, this extension is for you. eBay US Items Only automatically filters your search results to show US-located items first, detects non-US sellers that slip through, and gives you clear visual warnings before you buy. The Problem eBay's default search results mix domestic and international sellers together. Item location filters exist, but they reset between searches and aren't always accurate — some overseas sellers list items as being in the US when they're actually shipping from abroad. This means you can end up with unexpected 3-6 week shipping times, customs delays and surprise import fees, difficult returns across international borders, and counterfeit items from unregulated markets. What This Extension Does Automatic US-Only Search Filtering — Every time you search on eBay, the extension automatically applies the US item location filter. No need to manually set it each time — it just works in the background. Real Seller Location Detection — This is where the extension goes beyond what eBay's built-in filters offer. Instead of trusting the item's listed location, the extension checks each seller's actual store location by visiting their eBay store page. This catches sellers who list items as US-located but are actually based overseas. Clear Visual Warnings on Search Results — Non-US sellers are dimmed in search results and marked with a bright red "NON-US SELLER" badge showing the seller's actual location. You can see at a glance which results are domestic and which aren't, without clicking into each listing. Item Page Warning Banners — When you land on an individual item page from a non-US seller, a fixed banner appears at the top of the page warning you before you commit to a purchase. The banner shows the seller's actual location so you can make an informed decision. Seller Whitelist — Not all international sellers are a problem. Some overseas sellers are authorized manufacturers, trusted retailers, or sellers you've had great experiences with. The whitelist feature lets you exempt specific sellers from being flagged. Whitelist directly from the warning badge or banner with one click. Manage your full whitelist from the settings page. Search, add, and remove sellers individually. Import and export your whitelist as JSON to back it up or share it. Bulk clear if you want to start fresh. Simple On/Off Toggle — Need to temporarily disable the extension? The toolbar popup gives you a one-click toggle. The extension remembers your preference across browser sessions. Why Install This Extension Save time — Stop manually applying location filters on every search. Avoid surprises — Know where your item is actually shipping from before you buy. Stay informed — Clear, unobtrusive visual indicators let you make your own decisions. Stay in control — Whitelist sellers you trust, toggle the extension on or off anytime. Lightweight — No tracking, no analytics, no external servers. The only permission required is storage to save your preferences and whitelist. Privacy This extension does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. All preferences and whitelist data are stored locally in your browser. The only network requests it makes are to eBay itself to check seller store pages.
