Clarity You understood it at the time. A few days later, all that's left is "where did I read that again?" Saved links go unopened, and the paragraph that mattered scrolls away with everything else. Clarity leaves a trail as you read. Mark it, save it, make the hard parts readable — and what you rewrite becomes a record you can question later. ■ Highlighter — your marks stay where you left them Drag across a sentence that matters and highlight it on the spot. Come back to the same page later and your highlights are still there, in place. No screenshots, no copying paragraphs into some other app. ■ Bookmarks — save it for later in one click Some articles you simply can't finish now. Bookmark them instead of leaving thirty tabs open: one click, no folder to choose, no interruption to your reading. Saved pages collect in the bookmark list in the side panel, and one click takes you back to the original page. ■ Easy Read — one drag makes dense text readable Complicated news, terms of service, notices, papers. Drag the part that isn't landing, and Clarity rewrites it so the conclusion comes first. Summarize: conclusion up front, details as a list — numbers, conditions and parenthetical caveats preserved Proofread: awkward sentences smoothed out Translate: switch between Korean and English Ask: put a question to the passage you selected ■ Records — they build up as you read Every time you run Easy Read, the result is saved to your records in the side panel automatically. There's no save button to remember. Each record keeps its source link, so you can skim what you've read today and jump back to any original. What makes these records useful later is their shape: they aren't raw copied text but passages already boiled down to the point. ■ Notes — ask your own reading Notes isn't a blank page. It's where you put questions to the records you've built up. Ask something like "what were the deposit refund conditions in that article?" or "did I read anything about caching strategies?" and Clarity looks through what you actually read and made sense of — not the open internet — to answer. That thing you know you read somewhere but can't quite place: you don't need the exact keyword, just ask. The conversation runs on your device too, so your records never leave it. ■ How to use it Select text and click what you need from the toolbar that appears Right-click your selection and pick from the menu Press Alt + E ■ Privacy first — on-device by default Highlights, bookmarks and records live in your browser (IndexedDB) and are never uploaded anywhere. The same goes for questions you ask in Notes. By default the AI runs on Chrome's built-in model (Gemini Nano), entirely on your machine — no API key, no server round trip, no account. If you'd rather use a stronger model, you can enter your own OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude) or Google Gemini API key in the options. Only then is selected text sent to that provider's servers (the options screen says so plainly), and your key is stored on this device only, never synced. ■ Requirements Chrome 138 or later On-device mode may need a one-time Gemini Nano model download Read hard things without losing them. Clarity는 읽는 행동 그대로 흔적을 남깁니다. 긋고, 담아두고, 어려운 대목은 쉽게 다시 읽으면 — 그 결과가 기록으로 쌓이고, 나중에 그 기록에게 직접 물어볼 수 있습니다. ■ 형광펜 — 그은 자리는 그대로 남습니다 읽다가 중요한 문장을 드래그하면 바로 형광펜을 칠할 수 있습니다. 나중에 같은 페이지를 다시 열어도 하이라이트는 원래 그 자리에 그대로 복원됩니다. 스크린샷을 찍거나 문단을 복사해 어딘가에 붙여넣을 필요가 없습니다. ■ 책갈피 — 나중에 읽을 글을 담아두기 지금 당장 다 읽을 수 없는 글은 책갈피로 담아두세요. 읽던 흐름을 끊고 폴더를 고를 필요 없이 한 번의 클릭이면 되고, 담아둔 글은 사이드패널의 책갈피 목록에 모입니다. 다시 읽고 싶을 때 클릭하면 원문 페이지로 바로 이동합니다. 탭 30개를 띄워두는 대신, 한 곳에 정리해두는 방식입니다. ■ 쉽게 읽기 — 어려운 대목은 드래그 한 번으로 복잡한 뉴스, 약관, 공지, 논문. 읽어도 바로 들어오지 않는 대목을 드래그하면 결론을 먼저 말해 주는 두괄식 문장으로 다시 써 줍니다. 요약: 결론을 먼저, 세부는 목록으로 (숫자·조건·괄호는 그대로 보존) 교정: 어색한 문장을 자연스럽게 번역: 한국어 ↔ English 전환 물어보기: 선택한 대목에 대해 바로 질문 ■ 기록 — 쉽게 읽은 만큼 저절로 쌓입니다 쉽게 읽기를 실행할 때마다 그 결과가 사이드패널 기록에 자동으로 저장됩니다. 따로 저장 버튼을 누를 필요가 없습니다. 읽으면서 정리한 내용이 출처 링크와 함께 남으니, 오늘 무엇을 읽었는지 한눈에 훑어볼 수 있고 원문으로도 언제든 돌아갈 수 있습니다. 여기서 중요한 건, 이 기록이 나중에 쓸모 있는 형태라는 점입니다. 원문 그대로가 아니라 이미 핵심만 정리된 문장으로 남기 때문입니다. ■ 노트 — 쌓인 기록에게 물어보기 노트는 빈 메모장이 아닙니다. 그동안 쌓인 기록을 바탕으로 AI에게 질문하는 공간입니다. "그 글에서 보증금 반환 조건이 뭐였지?", "캐시 전략 관련해서 내가 읽어둔 게 있었나?" 처럼 물으면, 인터넷 어딘가가 아니라 내가 실제로 읽고 정리한 것들 안에서 관련 기록을 찾아 답해 줍니다. 기억은 안 나는데 분명 어딘가에서 읽었던 그 내용 — 검색어를 정확히 떠올리지 못해도 질문하듯 물으면 됩니다. 이 대화 역시 기기 안의 AI가 처리하므로 내 기록은 밖으로 나가지 않습니다. ■ 이렇게 쓰세요 텍스트를 선택하면 나타나는 툴바에서 원하는 기능 클릭 마우스 우클릭 → 메뉴에서 선택 단축키 Alt + E ■ 개인정보 우선 — 기본은 내 기기 안에서 하이라이트·책갈피·기록은 모두 브라우저 안(IndexedDB)에 저장되며, 어디로도 업로드되지 않습니다. 노트에서 기록을 근거로 질문할 때도 마찬가지입니다.
