GAKU Reader is a vocabulary and grammar lookup tool for Japanese language learners. Key Features: • Select any Japanese text on a webpage to instantly see its meaning, reading, and grammar explanation in a popup • Save words you're interested in directly to your GAKU vocabulary list with one click • See real example sentences (from Tatoeba) for any word, with furigana and romaji toggles • Search for images related to a word to support visual memory • Saved words automatically sync with the vocabulary builder in the main GAKU app Scan & Practice: • Draw a box over any Japanese text or image on a page (or in a PDF/screenshot) to scan it • Create Practice Questions: choose JLPT Mode (JLPT-style N5–N1 reading/grammar/vocabulary questions) or General Mode (comprehension questions matched to your own self-assessed level), then read the questions in Japanese first — reveal furigana, translation, and the answer only when you're ready • JLPT Answer + Explanation: point at an existing JLPT-style question and get the correct answer with a clear explanation of the grammar or reasoning behind it Listen: • Listen to the audio of the current tab (for example, a video) and get help understanding what is being said Who It's For: GAKU Reader is designed primarily for students enrolled in GAKU (an online Japanese language school), but it's available to any Japanese language learner. It works well for reading practice, news articles, social media posts, JLPT preparation, and any other Japanese text you want to study. Free trial and requirements: Try it free for 7 days. After the trial, a paid GAKU Master plan or an invitation code is required to keep using it. Enter your GAKU Master login email in the extension settings to get started. Intended use: GAKU Reader is a study assistant. It is built to help learners practice effectively, strengthen their Japanese, and prepare for the JLPT.
