Overview
Run Internet Explorer in Chrome with IE tab mode. ActiveX, Java, SharePoint, IE7–IE11. Windows only.
IEbridge opens websites that still require Internet Explorer inside a regular Chrome tab, using the Internet Explorer engine that ships with Windows. No second browser, no switching windows. Built for companies that depend on legacy intranets, ERPs, government portals, banking back-offices and web apps that only work with ActiveX, Java applets, SharePoint or old document modes. Works on Windows 10 and 11, where Internet Explorer is no longer available. WHAT IT DOES - Open any page in IE tab mode from the toolbar button or the right-click menu. - Pick the document mode each site needs, from IE7 to IE11. - Automatic URLs: list the sites that must always open in IE mode and IEbridge does it for you. - ActiveX and Java applets, with a clear prompt to allow or block each control. - Session sharing: your Chrome cookies for the site are passed to the IE engine so you don't have to sign in twice. - Developer tools (F12) for the IE engine. - Works in Incognito windows. - Available in 52 languages. FOR IT DEPARTMENTS - Centrally managed settings through Group Policy (Enterprise plan). - Sync Options: push URL rules and settings to every device on a licence (Enterprise plan). PRICING 30-day free trial with all features. No card and no account needed. After that, IEbridge Pro is $9.99 USD per year per device. Enterprise plans are available for larger fleets. REQUIREMENTS - Windows 7 SP1 or later, including Windows Server. - The free IEbridge helper for Windows, which hosts the Internet Explorer engine. The extension offers to download and install it the first time you use it. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Why do I need to install a helper? Chrome extensions run in a sandbox and cannot access the Internet Explorer engine that is part of Windows. The IEbridge helper is the only component that can talk to that engine, and it connects it to the extension. Is the helper safe? Yes. The IEbridge helper is digitally signed, so Windows can verify who published it and that it has not been modified. Your browsing is not tracked: the pages you open in IE mode, their content and your cookies stay on your computer. Does the free trial start automatically? Yes. The 30 days begin the first time the helper validates your device. You don't need to create an account or enter a card. What happens after the trial? To keep using IE mode after day 30 you need an IEbridge Pro or Enterprise licence. Can I use my licence on another computer? Yes. From Options you can unlink the current device and use your key on another device allowed by your subscription. Does it work on Mac or Linux? No. The engine is part of Windows, so IEbridge is designed only for supported Windows computers. PRIVACY IEbridge does not track your browsing. The pages you open in IE mode, their content and your cookies never leave your computer.
