Weverit — NYC building reports

On a NYC listing at StreetEasy, Zillow or Apartments.com, opens the Weverit report for that building's address.

Weverit adds one button to apartment listings in New York City. Open a listing on StreetEasy, Zillow or Apartments.com. If the page names a New York City street address, a "Check this building" button appears at the bottom right. Click it and the Weverit report for that building opens in a new tab. That is the whole extension. It does not score listings, rate landlords, or add anything to the listing page itself. WHAT THE REPORT CONTAINS (on weverit.com, from New York City's own public datasets) - Open HPD housing-code violations, by class, with the oldest and most recent named - 311 complaints filed about the building - Rent-stabilization status from the city's registration data - Lead-paint and bedbug filings - Department of Buildings complaints and violations - Who the building is registered to with HPD - The building itself: year built, floors, apartments, landmark and historic-district status The report is free to read and needs no account. WHAT THE EXTENSION READS The address of the listing you are looking at, and nothing else. It takes it from the page URL, from the structured data that listing sites publish for search engines, or from the page's own link-preview title. It does not read the listing text, the price, the number of bedrooms, your form fields, your cookies or your browsing history. If the page does not name a usable New York City street address — on Zillow, for instance, many listings hide the address — no button appears. We would rather show nothing than send you to a report about the wrong building.
