Tired of getting signed up for newsletters and "special offers" you never asked for? Marketing Box Guard automatically unticks pre-checked marketing and newsletter opt-in boxes on signup and checkout forms, so you stop subscribing to lists in the first place. **What it does:** - Unticks pre-checked marketing / newsletter / promotional opt-in boxes. - Leaves Terms, age, privacy, and consent boxes completely alone - if a box is required to sign up, it is never touched. - See exactly which boxes it unticked, and where. - Shows a quick "Undo" if you ever want a box back. - Works on late-loading forms (React, Vue, and other single-page apps). **Privacy first:** - Runs locally in your browser. By default nothing is collected, sent anywhere, or sold - no accounts, no tracking. - Optional (off by default): you can choose to contribute anonymized reports. If enabled, when a site pre-ticks a marketing box the extension sends us the site's domain name only (like example.com) - never the page address, form contents, or anything about you - to power public reporting on sites that pre-tick marketing consent. Switch it off anytime. - The history of unticked boxes is kept on your device only. Boxes in private (incognito) windows are never added to the history. **Controls:** - One-click on/off from the toolbar. - Turn it off for specific sites. - A running count of boxes it has unticked for you. - A history of recently unticked boxes in the popup and in Settings. Clear it or turn it off anytime. Marketing Box Guard prevents new subscriptions at the source. Boxes that bundle consent and marketing into one tick, or that use wording in a language we do not yet cover, are left alone to stay on the safe side. Always give a signup form a glance before submitting. **What's new in 1.2.0** - See exactly which boxes it unticked, and where. The popup has a "Recently unticked" list with the latest five, and Settings has the full history: the site, the box's label and the time, for the last 200 boxes. - You are in control of the list. Clear it at any time, or turn it off in Settings. While it is off, boxes are still counted but not listed. - Undo now puts back only the boxes from the latest notice, not every box unticked on the page. Boxes you put back are marked as undone and taken off the count. - Undo also covers embedded signup forms. Boxes unticked inside a form that the page loads from another site are in the same notice, and Undo puts them back too. - Boxes unticked in a private (incognito) window are never added to the history. - The history stays on your device. Nothing new is sent anywhere.
