Save As PNG+ adds a simple right-click menu to every image on every website, so you can instantly save it as a PNG file with the correct filename — no renaming, no format guessing. HOW IT WORKS Right-click any image and choose "Save Image As PNG+". A submenu gives you two options: • Save to Downloads — converts the image to PNG and saves it directly to your Downloads folder. No dialog, one click. • Save As... — opens Chrome's standard Save dialog so you can choose exactly where to put the file. The extension preserves the image's original filename from the URL, sanitizes it so it's safe for all operating systems, and always saves as a proper PNG regardless of the original format (JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP, SVG, etc.). WHAT IT DOES NOT DO • No data collection. Nothing you do is tracked, stored, or transmitted. • No ads. No analytics. No sign-in required. • No settings page cluttering your browser. PERMISSIONS • contextMenus — adds the right-click option. • downloads — saves the file to your computer. • scripting — reads the image from the current page to convert it. • Access to all sites — required to work on any website you visit. No page content or URL is ever recorded or sent anywhere.
