Dō: Job Management System
Overview
Save jobs from any job site in one click, then manage every application, interview and document. Private: it stays on your device.
Dō is a job management system for your job search. Save jobs from any job site in one click, then manage every application, interview, document and note in one place — privately, on your own device. Dō comes from the Japanese word dō (道), meaning “the way.” It also sounds like “do” — taking the next step. Find your way. Do what’s next. SAVE JOBS FROM ANY JOB SITE - On a job posting, click the Dō icon. Dō reads the title, company, location, salary, job type and the full description for you. - Check the details, edit anything, then click Save Job. - Works on most job sites and company career pages, including search pages where a job is open beside the list. - Already saved it? Dō tells you, so nothing is saved twice. - No icon handy? Choose Add job and paste the job post, or a screenshot of it — Dō reads it just the same, on your device. MANAGE EVERY APPLICATION - Every job in one table, with search, filters, sorting and favorites. - Move each job through the hiring stages: Saved, Applied, Screening, Interview, Assessment, Offer — or Rejected and Withdrawn. - Each job keeps its own Application Timeline, so you always know what happened and when. NEVER MISS AN INTERVIEW OR DEADLINE - Interviews, assessments and deadlines go on a month or agenda calendar. - Reminders inside Dō when an event comes up, with how early and for which events up to you. - Add any event to your own calendar app in two clicks. - Keep the exact CV, cover letter and portfolio you sent with each job. - Write notes for each job: recruiter details, interview prep, questions to ask, salary and research. SEE HOW YOUR SEARCH IS GOING - A dashboard shows how many jobs you’re pursuing, your active applications, interviews and offers. - Insights show your activity, where your jobs stand, how applications turned out, which job sites you use and when you’re most active. YOUR CAREER PROFILE AND CV - Fill your profile from your CV (PDF or Word), then edit it: experience, education, achievements and certifications, skills and tools. - Download your profile as a clean, one-page PDF CV. IMPORT, EXPORT AND BACKUPS - Import jobs from a spreadsheet with a step-by-step guide, and export every job to a spreadsheet. - Download a full backup of everything, and restore it on another computer. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - No account. No server. No tracking. - Everything stays in your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to the developer or anyone else. - Dō reads a page only when you click its icon, and only that tab. Tips & Guide inside Dō walks you through every feature, step by step, with screenshots. ONE LIST, ON ANY DEVICE - Jobs you save with the extension go straight into Dō web (do.designedbyvin.com) in Chrome, so you have one list. - Dō web also works in the browser on phones, tablets and other browsers, with the same features. There’s nothing to install. - Each browser and device keeps its own list. Move your jobs between them with a backup. WHY DŌ Dō started as a personal project and is shared for anyone who needs a simple way to manage their job applications. It isn’t a job site and doesn’t copy one. It replaces the spreadsheets and notes people use to track applications by hand. Designed and built by Melvin Lomboy · designedbyvin.com
