Overview

Screenshot capture used for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations task recorder.

This extension is required when using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations' Task Recorder. The add-in allows D365 F&O to capture screen shots as users document a business process. Without this extension installed, Task Recorder will only record the process as text prompts. This extension is supported in Chrome and MS Edge. The original code is located in GitHub and referenced by Microsoft Learn pages, however the application as listed does not work with the latest versions of Chromium based browsers. This version has been updated to support Chromium Manifest 3 and published here so users do not have to update the MS supplied code themselves, and then load an unpacked version of the extension onto their browsers. The extension supports any language supported by D365 F&O.
