DxHome replaces the blank new tab page with a clean, minimal dashboard: a clock, a search bar that does more than search, your shortcuts, your tasks, and your reading list — over a wallpaper you choose. No account. No ads. No paywall. No analytics. Nothing is locked behind a sign-in, because there is nothing to sign in to. Key Features: - Minimal & Clean Design: A frosted, layered interface that keeps your wallpaper the hero and stays readable over any photo you throw at it. - Command Bar: Far more than a search box. Type a question to search the web, a domain to go straight there, or: 2+3*4 to calculate, and press Enter to copy the answer !gh react, !npm zod, !mdn fetch to search GitHub, npm or MDN directly :3000 or localhost:5173 to jump to a dev server A hint under the bar always tells you what Enter is about to do. - Dev Servers: Optionally finds the HTTP servers running on your machine and lists them on your new tab, named after each app. Start a project on :3000 and it appears within seconds. Databases never show up — only real HTTP servers. Off until you allow it, and turning it off gives the access straight back. - Custom Backgrounds: Pick from preset wallpapers in the sidepanel, or right-click any image on the web to set it as your background. - Bookmarks: Your top sites as clean shortcuts for one-click access. Add, edit and remove your own. - Tasks: Built-in todo list with deadlines and a calendar view. Right-click any text or link to quickly create a task. - Reading List: Save pages to read later from the sidepanel or the right-click menu. Mark as read, filter by status, and reach it from both the new tab and the sidepanel. - Recent Tabs: Automatically tracks your recently closed tabs so you never lose one. - Clock: Clean time display. Click it for a full-screen focus view. - Sidepanel: Open it from the extension icon to manage backgrounds, your reading list, and settings. - Settings: Toggle every section — clock, search, bookmarks, recent tabs, dev servers, tasks, reading list — to see exactly what you want and nothing else.
