Dusk: a better home for your courses

Replaces your D2L Brightspace course site with one fast, dark home for your grades, deadlines, news and files.

Dusk replaces your D2L Brightspace course site with one fast, dark home for your grades, deadlines and files. Sign in the way you always do. Dusk reads your term, courses, marks and deadlines, and Home is ready. There is nothing to set up. EVERYTHING ON THE FIRST SCREEN Your marks, what is due, what is unread and how much of each course is graded, without opening six courses to check one thing. EVERY ANNOUNCEMENT, EVERY COURSE News from all your courses in one feed, with unread marked. Filter it by course or search it. YOUR GRADES, ONE CLICK Term average, GPA and where every course stands, on one page. Estimates use marked work only. EVERY PAGE OF EVERY COURSE, REBUILT Overview, Content, Assignments, Quizzes, Discussions, Grades and Class list in one tab bar. PDFs and PowerPoints open right there. EVERY DEADLINE, ALREADY ON THE CALENDAR Assignments, quizzes and exams show up by themselves, by month or by week. Add your own deadlines, or send them to the calendar you already use. ALSO IN THERE Grade alerts while Chrome is open. Ctrl+K to jump to any course, page or file. A Home you can rearrange. Twelve themes, or your own colour. The original site stays one click away. YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU Dusk has no servers, no accounts and no analytics. Your marks go from your school to your browser and stop there. GETTING STARTED Dusk works on D2L Brightspace course sites. It turns on by itself at the University of Calgary. At another school, click the Dusk icon once on your course site and allow it. It was built and tested at the University of Calgary, so a few pages may behave differently elsewhere. Screenshots show invented sample data. Dusk is an independent extension. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by D2L or any school. All D2L marks are trademarks of D2L Corporation. Please visit D2L.com/trademarks for a list of D2L marks.
