The durian tree has a fairly sturdy trunk and branches, a greenish-brown color, with a dense canopy of leaves, typical of tropical fruit trees. The green durian fruits, with dense, thorny skin, hang in clusters on the branches. Some fruits are secured with strings to prevent them from falling or breaking the branches. The ground below is a layer of red soil, typical of fruit growing areas.
