Duplicate Tab

I love this extension, exactly what I was looking for! A simple extension to add a keyboard shortcut for the "Tab > Duplicate Tab". I use it many times every day. I audited the source code to confirm my data wasn't being sent anywhere -- 11 simple lines of code doing what the extension says. ✅ Thank you Jordan Bowness! 🙌 ❤️

After you install, assign a keyboard shortcut! I use Cmd + D :)

One complaint: the "Dolly the sheep" icon in the toolbar looks like a faint piece of fuzz. A more iconic and high-contrast icon would be helpful.

I really appreciated this feature in IE and missed it in Chrome. This extension does the trick and seems pretty lightweight and reliable!

THIS is the Extension that I was looking for. As some of you might remember early versions of IE always cloned new windows and I was emulating that behavior in all browsers I was using since then. Sadly Chrome had an unwieldy way of cloning tabs (menu item on clicking a tab) and no way of opening cloned tabs by default.
