Duplicate Tab Guard helps you find existing Chrome tabs before opening duplicate pages. When matching tabs are detected, the extension highlights them with a clear badge and groups open tabs by website. You can focus an existing tab, close duplicate tabs, close an entire website group, or reopen recently closed tabs. Advanced features: • Tab Budget Get a warning when the total number of open tabs or tabs from one website exceeds your chosen limit. The extension never closes tabs automatically. • Workspace Snapshot Save and restore multiple Chrome windows, tab order, pinned tabs, and optional Chrome tab groups. Workspace snapshots are created only when you explicitly save them and remain stored locally on your device. • Duplicate Rules per Website Choose how duplicates are detected for each website: Exact URL, Origin + path, or Domain. Privacy-first design: • All tab processing happens locally. • No backend, analytics, tracking, or remote code. • No page content, passwords, cookies, or browsing history are read. • Workspace data is not synced or uploaded. • Incognito tabs are excluded from workspace snapshots. • The extension does not measure RAM or system resources.
