Duplicate Tab Closer keeps your tabs clean with one click. The toolbar icon shows a red number — that's how many duplicate tabs are open right now. Click it and you get two options: - Close duplicates — closes older copies and keeps the tab you used most recently. Even if a duplicate is the very newest one created, if you haven't touched it in a while it gets closed. - Close duplicates · keep pinned — same idea, but pinned tabs are never closed. If a pinned version of a page exists, all the non-pinned copies close. Features: - Works across all your windows, not just the current one - Pinned tabs are counted as duplicates (and kept safe in pinned-mode) - Smart URL matching — tracking parameters (utm_, fbclid, gclid, etc.) are ignored so the same page isn't seen as different just because of ad tracking - Live badge count updates as you browse - No accounts, no logins, no setup Privacy: - No network requests at all - No analytics, no tracking, no ads - Your tab data never leaves your device
