Overview
Find duplicate tabs in the current window, keep one and close the rest.
Duplicate Tab Cleaner finds the tabs you have open twice and closes the copies, keeping one of each page. Click the icon and it scans the current window, groups the tabs that point at the same page, and shows you exactly what it plans to close. Each duplicate has a checkbox, so you keep anything you want. The tab it keeps is marked, and nothing closes until you press the button. SMART MATCHING It compares pages properly rather than comparing raw address strings: • Strips tracking parameters, so a link with ?utm_source=newsletter or ?fbclid=... matches the clean version of the same page • Ignores parameter order and a trailing slash • Keeps real parameters, so ?page=1 and ?page=2 stay separate pages • Keeps the fragment, so single-page-app routes like #/dashboard and #/settings stay separate • Prefers keeping the pinned, active or oldest tab so you do not lose your place WHAT IT DOES NOT DO • No account, no sign-in, no setup • No network requests at all, ever • No analytics, no tracking, no advertising • No access to the content of your pages: it reads the tab list, never what is on the page A badge on the icon shows how many duplicates are open right now, so you can see the clutter before you click.
