Due Sync
Overview
Read-only sync of your classes from your school's course site into Due, on a click or on its own. Works at most US colleges.
Due Sync connects the Due app and website to your classes in one click. Open your school's course site, click the Due Sync icon, and click Sync now. The extension reads your own courses, assignments, scores, announcements, modules, Inbox and syllabi, and the colours you gave your classes, from the tab you are logged into, using the same requests the course site itself makes. It finds each syllabus wherever your professor put it: the syllabus page, a PDF or Word file, a module page. It keeps the result in your browser and shows what changed since the last sync: a moved due date, a new score, a new announcement. Want it to keep up on its own? After a sync, choose Keep in sync. Chrome asks you once, for your school's course site (and the syllabus tool your classes use, if they keep syllabi in one). From then on it syncs every 30 minutes while your course site is open, with no click. Turn it off in the extension any time. Then hand it to Due: - The Due website shows each step of the sync as it runs, and brings it in. - On your phone, Show a code for the phone makes a QR code that the Due app scans: your calendar and announcement links, so the app can keep itself up to date. - In Due, Ask about this reads one course page, file or set of slides you pick, so you can talk it over with Due's AI. What it never does: it never changes anything on your course site, never opens quizzes or exams, never marks a message as read, never sees your password, and never sends your data anywhere but Due's own pages, when you use them.
