The tab stays open and running in a background window: your half-typed form, your logged-in session, your playing video — all still there. It requests no website access and installs no content scripts, so it has no way to see what is on the pages you visit. Check the permission list on chrome://extensions — there is nothing there about your site data. No analytics. No telemetry. No servers. No network requests at all. Nothing leaves your computer. WHAT IT IS FOR, HONESTLY Duckout is for shoulder-surfing: someone glancing at your screen in an office, a café, a classroom, a shared room. That is the job it does well. It does not hide anything from your network, your employer's IT or device management, your internet provider, or software installed on your computer, and it does not clear your history.
