Overview
Dual subtitles: the original line plus a live on-device translation, synced to the same cue, on a supported streaming site.
Dualcue shows two subtitle lines at once on a supported streaming site: the original-language subtitle, and under it a translation into the language you choose, synced to the same cue. HOW IT WORKS - Turn on subtitles in the original language in the site's video player. Dualcue reads that subtitle track and shows it together with a translation line. - Translation is done on your device by Chrome's built-in Translator API. Subtitle text is not sent to Dualcue servers or to any translation service. - The first time you use a language pair, Chrome may need to download a translation model. Dualcue shows an "Enable translation" button for this one-time step. - Pick the target language in the toolbar popup. It starts on your browser's language when Dualcue supports it. You can switch the dual subtitles on or off per tab. FREE AND PRO - Free: 20 minutes per day of playback while translated subtitles are shown. Time spent loading, waiting for the model, on a same-language track, or paused is not counted. The original subtitle line stays visible after the limit. - Pro: unlimited translation, $4/month, billed through Paddle. After purchase you receive a licence code and paste it into the Dualcue popup. - The daily free time is counted locally in your browser; Dualcue does not keep an account or a server-side usage record for it. PRIVACY - No analytics or tracking. After you have used Dualcue a few times, the popup may show an optional link to a short feedback page on our website; it opens only if you click it, and the extension itself sends nothing for it. - Your viewing history and subtitle text stay on your device. - Dualcue contacts its own licence server only when you activate or re-check a Pro licence code (the code is sent for that check). - Privacy policy: https://gotaskflo.com/legal/privacy/ - Terms of sale and refund policy: https://gotaskflo.com/legal/terms/ REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITS - Desktop Chrome 138 or later with the built-in Translator API. If it is not available, or a language pair is not supported, Dualcue shows the original subtitles only. - Dualcue translates the subtitle text the site provides. It does not transcribe audio, and it has no dictionary, word list, flashcard export, or shadowing tools. - Works on the compatible site listed below. You need your own subscription to that site and a title that has subtitles. - The site may change at any time, which can temporarily break the extension. Compatible site: Disney+ Dualcue is an independent extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Disney or Disney+. Disney+ is a trademark of its owner and is named here only to say which site Dualcue works with.
