DTG/POD Preflight — Printful Overlay
Overview
Overlay for Printful to pre-check DTG/POD print-file risks before ordering.
DTG/POD Preflight adds an overlay panel on Printful’s design/placement pages to pre-check common print-file risks before ordering. What it does ・Detects small details that may disappear (thin lines / tiny gaps / small holes) ・Flags muddy edges caused by low-contrast boundaries ・Supports LINE mode (edges / small details) and TONE mode (halftone / photo-like textures) ・Reads placement size and effective DPI from Printful (Get from Printful) ・Shows pins + a detection list so you can jump to risky areas fast How to use 1.Open Printful and go to a product template / placement page. 2.Upload your artwork as usual. 3.Click Get from Printful to import placement size/DPI. 4.Choose Background (Black/White), select Mode/View, then click Analyze. Privacy ・Analysis runs locally in your browser. ・No analytics / tracking. ・Pro license verification happens only Pro (optional) ・Pro unlocks additional features. ・You can keep using Lite without purchasing. FAQ Q: Why do I still see CRIT on some artworks? A: DTG printing smooths and averages details. Fine grain, small halftone dots, soft edges, and micro-lines can collapse into solid areas or disappear. To reduce risk, increase dot size, thicken details, or simplify textures. Notes Results are estimates. Actual print outcomes vary by printer, garment, and settings.
