Loaded Verbs (red) — words like "slams," "destroys," "doubles down" that editorialize an action instead of describing it. "Criticizes" becomes "blasts." "Disagrees" becomes "eviscerates." Same facts, completely different feeling. Fear and Urgency Signals (purple) — phrases like "breaking," "crisis," "you won't believe," "this changes everything" that create artificial urgency to override your analytical thinking. Manipulative Framing (pink) — constructions like "critics slam," "raising eyebrows," "in a stunning move," "sources say" that pre-load your interpretation before presenting facts. Each article, post, or video title gets an Emotional Loading Index (ELI) — the percentage of words that are emotionally loaded. A Reuters wire report scores near 0%. A sensationalized headline scores 8-12%. A viral social media post can score 15%+. THIS IS NOT A FACT-CHECKER Fact-checkers tell you what's true or false.
