Driftboard
Overview
A spatial new-tab board that lets open tabs drift, cluster, anchor, and return as a visual workspace.
A spatial new-tab workspace that lets open tabs drift, cluster, anchor, and return as a visual map. DESCRIPTION Driftboard replaces the new-tab page with a calm spatial map of the tabs already open in the current browser window. Instead of compressing every page into a vertical list, it gives each tab a movable card and lets related domains gather around shared centers. Click a card to switch to that tab. Drag cards to create your own spatial memory, double-click a card to pin or unpin the real browser tab, and use Settle or Scatter to reorganize the field. Freeze pauses the gentle layout physics when you want a completely static board. Recently closed Chrome sessions can appear as dashed ghost cards and can be restored directly from the board. Driftboard stores only the local card coordinates needed to preserve your layout. Tab titles, URLs and current tab state are read from Chrome so the map can represent the browser accurately; they are not sent to a server. The extension has no content scripts, no host permissions, no analytics, no advertisements and no remote code.
