DraftLens – DWG & DXF Viewer
Overview
Open DWG and DXF drawings in Chrome: pan, zoom, layers and measuring. Private: drawings never leave your computer.
DraftLens lets you look at AutoCAD® DWG and DXF drawings without installing CAD software. It's useful when you're on a Chromebook, a client's PC, or just need a quick check. • Open .dwg (R13 to 2018+ formats) and ASCII .dxf files: drag and drop, choose a file, or right-click a drawing link → "Open drawing in DraftLens". • Smooth pan and zoom with mouse, trackpad or touch (pinch). Double-click or press F to fit. • Layers panel: turn layers on and off, see layer colors. • Measure distances with snapping to endpoints and centers, shown in the drawing's units (mm, m, inches, feet…) with ΔX, ΔY and angle. • Dark or light background. • Save the current view as PNG, or print it. • Blocks, nested blocks, dimensions, arcs, splines, ellipses, polylines with arcs, hatches, solids and text are drawn. Private: drawings are processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded. No ads, no adblock wall, no account. Not supported yet: binary DXF, paper-space layouts, 3D solids, embedded images and external references. DraftLens is open source (GPL-3.0) because it uses the GNU LibreDWG library to read DWG files. AutoCAD is a registered trademark of Autodesk, Inc. DraftLens is not affiliated with Autodesk.
