Donations never unlock or change features. ## Privacy policy **Updated:** August 12, 2026 ### Local data Sites, fields, and snapshots are stored in the browser's IndexedDB. Preferences, protected domains, retention rules, onboarding state, telemetry settings, and support-suggestion cadence are stored in `chrome.storage.local`. Draft content is never synced to a server or third party. ### Exclusions Passwords, payment fields, CVV, one-time codes, hidden fields, pages on the risk list, and fields marked private are excluded before capture. ### Permissions - `storage`: local persistence for settings. - `alarms`: periodic cleanup. - `scripting`: extension-owned capture code on sites you explicitly protect. - `activeTab`: the current tab's domain when the popup is opened. - `optional_host_permissions`: per-site access requested only after you choose to protect a site. ### Telemetry Telemetry starts off. When enabled, it sends only fixed technical events, never written text, visited pages, search terms, or page contents. You can turn it off at any time. ### Donations The PayPal page opens only after a user action. DraftHarbor does not receive account details, donation amount, or payment outcome. Donations are optional and do not change available features. ### Controls You can review, copy, restore, export, import, and delete data; adjust retention; mark fields private; change language; disable telemetry; and stop protecting any site. Backups exported from the app are unencrypted JSON. Treat them like any other local document that contains your text. ### Contact Use the support address listed on the DraftHarbor Chrome Web Store page.
