Overview

Dr. Z from AristAI Mapper in Chrome: see what needs you, chat, and add pages to Mapper. It asks before it opens or uses a site.

Dr. Z for Chrome brings Dr. Z, the assistant in AristAI Mapper, into your browser. It is for school and department staff who already use Mapper: coordinators, administrators and faculty reviewers. You need a Mapper account to use it. What it does - Needs you. A short list of the things in Mapper that are waiting for you, such as evidence to approve or a syllabus to review. It checks Mapper about once a minute, shows a count on the toolbar icon and sends a Chrome notification for each new item. Open takes you to the right page in Mapper; Done clears the item. - Chat. The side panel shows your Mapper chat with Dr. Z. If you press Ask about this page, Dr. Z reads the page in your current tab so you can ask about it. - Add this page. Send the page you are on to Mapper as course materials, evidence for a requirement, a faculty member's profile or a framework source. You can also right-click a page or a link and choose Add to Mapper with Dr. Z. Nothing is added until you press Add. PDFs up to 7 MB are sent as files. - Dr. Z on your pages. If you allow it, a small Dr. Z sits in a corner of the pages you visit and shows when something needs you. It reads nothing on the page. Hide it on any site, or everywhere, from its menu or from the panel's Settings. - Pages Dr. Z opens for you. When you ask Dr. Z in Mapper for something that needs a web page, Dr. Z can open that page in your own Chrome, read it and close it. For pages that need clicks, it can use its own Chrome tab. It asks before it acts - The first time Dr. Z wants a site, a small window asks: Allow, Not allow, or Always allow this site. Chrome then asks for that site too. No answer counts as no. - Before Dr. Z clicks or types in its own tab, it asks you to allow the sites for that request. Chrome shows its own bar while Dr. Z uses the tab; press Cancel on that bar, or Stop Dr. Z now, to stop at once. Dr. Z never types passwords or payment details, and it does not work on sign-in or payment pages. - Pause stops Dr. Z from opening pages in this browser. Turning the browser off in Mapper, Settings, Devices signs it out at once. Where your data goes Everything goes only to your school's Mapper server at aristai.io.
