Unsnitch — clean X links

Overview
Stop X from snitching on your links. Strips share-tracking params (?s=, t=, a=) from X (Twitter) links you copy or share.
Stop X from snitching on your links. When you copy or share a post on X (Twitter), the link gets extra tracking codes: https://x.com/user/status/123?a=E-mbQ0quyOZVCVU3zFg&s=19 "s" is a code for the app you shared from. "t" and "a" are share tokens, widely reported to be tied to the account that shared it. None of them are needed to open the post. Unsnitch removes them automatically: https://x.com/user/status/123 WHAT IT CLEANS (on x.com and twitter.com) • X's own "Copy link" button • Ctrl/⌘+C on selected text, and drag & drop • The Share menu • The address bar (no page reload) • Right-click any X link → "Copy clean link" TOOLBAR POPUP • On/off switch (synced across your browsers) • "Links unsnitched" counter (stored only on your device) • Paste & clean: paste any text containing X links and copy it back clean WHAT IT REMOVES Every query parameter on X links except the ones search needs (q, f, pf, lf). That includes s, t, a, ref_src, ref_url, cn, refsrc and utm_*. The path and #hash are kept. Links to other websites are never changed. PRIVACY • Collects no data, ever • No network requests, no analytics, no remote code • Runs only on x.com and twitter.com • Open source (MIT) and dependency-free. The cleaning logic is about 80 lines.
