NAME Downloader for Threads — Save Threads Photos, Videos & GIF SUMMARY Save Threads photos and videos: one file, a whole post as a ZIP, or a video as a GIF. Runs 100% locally. DETAILED DESCRIPTION Downloader for Threads saves the photos and videos you are already looking at on Threads straight to your computer — no third-party website, no sign-up, no upload. How it works - Hover any photo or video and a ⬇ button appears in its corner. One click saves exactly that file. - On a post with several images or videos, a second ⇓ button appears. It saves the whole post as one ZIP. - On a post page (threads.com/@user/post/…), a "Download post" button sits in the bottom-left corner and saves everything in the post. - Video to GIF: hover a video and click GIF, or use the GIF button next to "Download post". The clip is converted to an animated GIF on your own computer. Width, frame rate and maximum length can be changed in the toolbar popup. Details that matter - Highest quality: the largest version Threads offers is the one saved. - Original files: photos and videos are saved exactly as served, never re-encoded. - Tidy file names: account_date_time_postcode, so a folder sorts itself. - Smart packaging: a single file is saved as-is; several files become one ZIP. - Live progress in the top-right corner and in the toolbar popup, with pause, resume and stop. Stopping still saves everything fetched so far. - Available in English, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese and Thai. - Light and dark themes, following your system. Privacy - Everything runs locally in your browser. No server, no account, no analytics, no tracking. - Media is fetched directly by your browser and never passes through a third party. GIFs are encoded on your machine. - Nothing is collected, stored remotely or sold. Scope It downloads the post you are viewing. There is no bulk or whole-account mode, and it does not scrape, crawl or automate browsing. You can only download what your own account can already see.
