Overview
Capture file downloads and detect videos for the Download Engine desktop app.
Download Engine Integration connects Firefox to the Download Engine desktop download manager for Windows. Requires the separate Download Engine Windows app and Firefox 142 or newer. Features: • Automatically capture eligible file downloads started in Firefox. • Detect supported videos while browsing and choose which ones to download. • Send individual links or selected page links to the desktop app. • Access a Download video button on supported pages. • Help recover expired download links. Download capture and media detection are enabled by default and can be turned off. Videos require your selection before downloading. Download information is passed to the local desktop app. Browser-login cookie access is optional and requires explicit approval. The extension contains no advertising or analytics. Windows only.
