DownGo Integration Module
Overview
Browser integration for DownGo with broad file capture, exposed media detection, page link extraction, and YouTube blocking.
DownGo Browser Integration connects your browser to the DownGo desktop download manager on the same PC. Send selected links to DownGo, scan a page for links, or optionally hand off supported browser downloads. FEATURES • Send a link to DownGo from the right-click menu. • Scan the current page, review its links, and choose which ones to send. • Optionally capture matching browser downloads with Auto-Capture. • Detect supported media directly exposed by web pages with the Video Download Panel. • View DownGo’s connection status and download progress from the extension popup. • Choose file types to capture and sites to exclude. PRIVACY AND CONTROL Auto-Capture and the Video Download Panel are off by default. You can enable or disable them in the extension popup and manage site access in your browser settings. When you request a download, the extension sends its URL, filename, and referring page to the DownGo desktop app running on your computer. For requested downloads, matching site cookies may also be passed to the local app so it can access the file. This information is sent through the local 127.0.0.1 connection and is not sent to a DownGo cloud service. The Video Download Panel detects supported media exposed by a page. It does not support YouTube, DRM-protected media, or segmented streaming playlists. Only download content you have permission to access and save. DownGo Browser Integration requires the DownGo desktop application to be installed and running on the same computer.
