Don't Sign Me Out Cal Poly!
Overview
Stop my.calpoly.edu from signing you out of your account
Tired of My Cal Poly signing you out the moment you step away? Don’t sign me out keeps your My Cal Poly portal session alive while your computer is awake. Work in other tabs, take a break, or lock your screen — when you come back, you’re still signed in. Developed by Dr. Scott Hoppe, CPA to combat log outs while working on his his classes. How it works • Quietly checks in with the portal every few minutes so your session stays active. • Automatically answers the portal’s “Are you still there?” pop-up for you. • Keeps Canvas (canvas.calpoly.edu) signed in too. • One big on/off button, with the time of the last check-in. Extras • Optional dark mode for the portal and Canvas, switched with the moon icon. • A small activity log you can copy, plus a feedback button that emails a suggestion or bug report. Privacy • Nothing leaves your computer. No accounts, no tracking, no ads, no data collection. • The log is stored only on your device and is only shared if you choose to send feedback. Good to know • Works while a My Cal Poly or Canvas tab is open and your computer is awake. It can’t help if your computer goes to sleep. • Not affiliated with or endorsed by Cal Poly. Free to use. If it saves you some hassle, there’s an optional “Donate to the cause” link in the popup.
