Opens new tab even if there is still an open tab

Since a few weeks or months, this extension introduced an annoying behavior: if I close one tab, a new empty tab is created even if there is still another tab containing some web page. Since I have another extension ("tab activate") to make new tabs active, this leads to have an empty tab active as soon as I close some tab instead of just closing the tab and have the previous tab active.

I found a different extension that keeps the browser open ("keep one pinned tab") that is working properly: it never creates an empty tab this way.

Don't Close Window With Last Tab extension

I have a Windows platform running Google Chrome with the Don't Close Window With Last Tab extension installed. Up until a few weeks ago, it was working as described. When I closed to last open tab, Chrome would remain open and a new tab consistent with the "pin tab" would open. To close Chrome, I would have to click on the "close" button in the top right hand corner of Chrome. While closing Chrome still functions as expected, when I go to close the last open tab itself, sometimes one and often two new tabs open, again consistent with the "pin tab." Nothing crashes and I can easily close the first or second tab opened by the app, it is an unexpected outcome and sometimes anoying. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Faulty behavior since last update

Opens a new blank tab even though other tabs are still open. Still works as intended, but it's doing more than it should, opening tabs when other tabs are already open.

Its not working since latest Chrome updates

Hello, the extension seems to not work or works randomly since latest chrome update. Did not want to give a low rating just for this issue and deleted previous review for this reason. Please try to fix it if possible. Thanks.

Please add this feature

1. Close the pinned "New Tab" if there are more than one tab.... 2. Create and pin a "New Tab" if there is only one tab.

Breaks Ctrl+Shift+T

Due to closing the pinned tab, when more than one tab is open, this extension breaks Ctrl+Shift+T (open last closed tab) for me.

Extension stops functioning. Then freezes entire computer.

Thanks for your response 3 years ago! Unfortunately I did not seem to have gotten notified of it via e-mail …

Recently I've encountered the bug in the title. Thought I'd report it in case others experienced it too.

Otherwise, please ignore my complaint. Maybe my computer / set up is just too weird.

Thank you for this extension. It has worked great for a long time :D

Opens in pinned tab

After the new update, The browser opens into the pinned new tab rather than the default tab. After the open some web page in the pinned tab and go back to new tab, the pinned tab doesn't go away even if there are two or more tabs open.
