themes don't work

the picture does not show in the body of the screen, only in the tool bars and tabs at the top of the screen. The themes used to work great. What in the world happened and why can't it get fixed? Non of the themes i could to actually unzip show up anywhere except the very top of the page, and only then it's simply color changes, and no picture. the main picture is covered by the white search screen. So frustrating!

themes showing on chrome main page

I cannot download any new themes onto my chrome main page. The old one stays on. Only the top bars on the page show an inch or so of the new theme I want to put on. I have tried multiple themes and cannot get the old one off. Help
