Domain Expiry Tracker and Renewal Manager is a browser extension that helps you stay on top of every domain you own. If you manage more than a handful of domains, whether for clients, side projects, or your own business, it's easy to lose track of renewal dates until it's too late. This extension gives you a single, organized dashboard right inside your browser so you never miss an expiry again. WHAT IT DOES The extension lives in your browser toolbar. Click the icon and your entire domain portfolio is right there, no logins, no external accounts, no fees. Every domain shows its status (Expired, Expiring Soon, or Active), days remaining, registrar, and annual cost. A badge on the toolbar icon shows the combined count of expired and expiring-soon domains so you always have a heads-up at a glance, even without opening the popup. KEY FEATURES 1) Domain Dashboard Your domains are grouped into three sections, Expired, Expiring Soon, and Active, so you immediately know what needs attention. Four summary cards at the top show your total domain count, combined annual renewal cost, number of expired domains, and number expiring soon. 2) Auto-Fetch via RDAP When adding a domain, hit the Fetch button and the extension automatically looks up the expiry date and registrar using the RDAP protocol. No need to log into each registrar separately to find dates. 3) Flexible Domain Entry Add any domain with just a name and expiry date. Optionally include the annual renewal price (tracked toward your total annual cost), the registrar, tags, notes, and whether auto-renewal is enabled. Registrars you recognise, like Namecheap, GoDaddy, Porkbun, Cloudflare, and others, become clickable links that take you directly to your domain list at that registrar. 4) Current Page Detection When adding a new domain, the extension can detect the domain of the page you currently have open and pre-fill it for you, useful when you're already on a registrar's site or browsing a domain you want to add. 5) Browser Notifications The extension runs a daily background check against your domain list. When a domain is approaching expiry and matches one of your configured notification thresholds (for example, 30 days out and again at 7 days), you get a desktop notification reminding you to renew. Auto-renewed domains are excluded from these alerts since they don't need manual action. 6) Configurable Alert Thresholds Set your own "Expiring Soon" threshold in Settings, the default is 30 days, but you can change it to whatever suits your workflow. You can also configure multiple notification thresholds so you get an early warning and a final reminder before expiry. 7) Search, Filter, and Sort Use the search box to filter by domain name, registrar, tags, or notes in real time. Narrow the list further with the status filter (Expired / Expiring Soon / Active) and the registrar filter, which is populated automatically from your data. Sort by expiry date, domain name, or renewal price, ascending or descending. 8) Bulk Actions Switch into bulk mode to select multiple domains at once. Export the selection to the clipboard as CSV, or delete them all in a single action with undo support. 9) Import and Export Bring in an existing domain list from a CSV or JSON file, a header row is optional. Duplicate domains are automatically skipped. Export your full list (or a bulk selection) to the clipboard as CSV for use in spreadsheets or other tools. 10) Sync or Local Storage Choose between Chrome Sync storage, which keeps your domains in sync across all your Chrome browsers on any device, or Local storage for larger collections that don't need to travel. Switching between the two automatically migrates your existing data. 11) Dark and Light Theme Toggle between dark and light mode using the moon/sun icon in the header. Your preference is remembered across sessions. 12) Full Page View Click the expand icon to open the extension as a full browser tab. All features are available in full page view, with more screen room to work with. You can bookmark the URL to open it directly as a tab whenever you like. 13) Undo Delete Accidentally deleted a domain? A toast notification with an Undo button gives you 5 seconds to reverse the action. Hovering over the toast pauses the countdown so you have time to click it. WHY INSTALL IT Domain names are easy to forget about. Unlike SaaS subscriptions that send payment reminders, domain registrars often send renewal emails that end up in spam or get ignored. A single lapsed domain can mean losing a brand name you've held for years, breaking email for a client, or taking a website offline, sometimes permanently if someone else registers it first. This extension solves that by keeping all your domains visible in one place with automatic status tracking. The toolbar badge means you can't miss a problem even if you haven't opened the popup in weeks. The cost summary helps you understand your total renewal spend across registrars in one view, useful for budgeting and for spotting domains that may not be worth renewing. Everything runs locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage APIs. No account is required. No data is sent to any external server. Your domain list is yours and stays on your device (or synced privately through your own Chrome account if you choose Sync mode). PRIVACY All domain data is stored using Chrome's standard storage API, either locally on your device or synced through your own Chrome account. The extension does not collect, transmit, or share any data with third parties. RDAP lookups (used by the Fetch button) query the public RDAP registry directly from your browser with no intermediary server. GETTING STARTED 1. Click the extension icon in the toolbar. 2. Click + Add Domain and enter a domain name and expiry date. 3. Optionally use the Fetch button to auto-fill the expiry date and registrar. 4. Save, your domain appears in the list immediately. 5. That's it. Add all your domains and the dashboard handles the rest.
