Overview

Your browsing history as a living 3D city. Everything stays on device.

Every website you visit becomes a building. The more time you spend on a site, the taller its tower; the more pages you explore, the wider it gets. Your new tab becomes a neon night skyline built from the last 90 days of your browsing, standing on a real map of Charlotte, North Carolina, or New York City. WHY IT ASKS FOR HISTORY ACCESS Domain City needs the optional History permission to read the last 90 days of your browsing and build the city. It asks only when you click "Grant history access" on the welcome screen, and you can revoke it at any time from chrome://extensions. Without it, the city stays empty. YOUR CITY Your biggest sites take Uptown Charlotte's real towers, with the rest of the city's real buildings and streets spread out around them. Or switch to New York, where your sites take Manhattan's towers. Hand-built landmarks in both cities. Hover one for its name, or click it for an info card. Glowing pixel windows, light beams over your top sites, neon rooftops and favicon flags. Four color themes. Layouts: the real Charlotte or New York map (Charlotte by default), or organic and spiral layouts. Districts: group your sites by category or by your own segments (Work, School, Fun, or anything you define), each in its own real neighborhood. A starry night sky or a live day/night cycle, with a blimp overhead. Live weather: the sky over the city follows the real weather, sunrise and sunset. Or choose simulated weather, or none. Live: the city updates within seconds as you browse. Hide any domain from the city without deleting its history. Adjustable graphics quality, so it runs on slower computers too. EXPLORE Search any site with Ctrl/Cmd+K and fly straight to it. Walk the streets in first person and climb onto rooftops. Fly mode: take off from a real airport runway, fly through rings, collect coins over your city, pull aerobatic tricks, grab power-ups, and land for a bonus that grows with your time in the air. Buy faster planes with the coins you earn. One crash and the flight is over. Billboards along the real highways advertise your own top sites. Click a stadium to play a quick football or baseball game for coins and XP. Replay: watch a whole day of browsing play back as light arcing between buildings. Time Machine: watch your city build itself over 90 days. UNDERSTAND YOUR HABITS Insights: when you browse, your streaks, rising sites and time by category and segment. Smart site categories from a small classifier that runs on your device, with optional help from Chrome's built-in AI (Gemini Nano) where your computer supports it. A city news ticker, achievements, holiday fireworks and shareable posters. Optional lo-fi music generated live in your browser. THE NUKE One big red button clears your entire Chrome browsing history, with a full cinematic strike on your city. It asks you to lift a safety cover and hold to launch first, and you can abort until impact. "Nuke this domain" erases every visit to a single site the same way. Both delete history from Chrome itself, including on your other devices if Chrome Sync is on, and cannot be undone. Cookies, cache and passwords are not touched. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything happens on your device. No servers, no accounts, no analytics. Your history never leaves your computer. Live weather: Domain City asks Open-Meteo for the current conditions at the map city's fixed center, about every 15 minutes while the city is open. It carries nothing about you. Set Weather to Simulated or Off to stop it. One ad: Domain City provides ads within the extension interface, on the results screen at the end of a flight in fly mode, from our partner PlayaYield. The ad request never includes your history or your sites. History access is optional and requested only when you click to allow it. The search box is a plain Google search: what you type goes to Google only when you press Enter. Your game progress and settings (never your history or sites) are backed up in Chrome's own extension sync storage, so with Chrome sync on they follow you to your other computers. Export them to a file any time, and import them back. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors. Weather data by Open-Meteo.com.
