Crews — Now Playing

Shares what you're playing on Spotify or Apple Music with your Crews session, and keeps the session timer in your toolbar.

Crews is live focus sessions with people who help you show up. This extension handles the music, and keeps your session in view. Play something in the Spotify or Apple Music web player during a session, and the track shows up for everyone in the room: title, artist, artwork and a link. You don't have to paste anything. What it does • Reads the current track from open.spotify.com and music.apple.com • Posts it to your session as now playing, the moment the song changes • Shows your session's timer on the toolbar icon: the minutes left in the current block • Opens to a live countdown, what you're playing, and your music source • Keeps your computer awake during a session, so the music keeps going if you step away • Pauses sharing with one switch • Follows your system's light or dark mode What it doesn't do • Stream or record audio. If you want the room to hear your music, share the tab yourself with Chrome's built-in picker. • Read any page other than the two music players and withcrews.com. • Track your browsing, show ads or sell data. Getting started 1. Install the extension. 2. Sign in at work.withcrews.com and join or host a session. The extension picks up your session on its own. 3. Play something in another tab.
