DogEar
Overview
Save your exact reading position on long articles and jump back to it from the popup.
DogEar is a small reading tool for saving your exact place on a page. Regular bookmarks remember the article. DogEar remembers the line you were reading. Hold Shift and drag under a sentence to leave a small dog-eared underline. When you come back later, open the popup and jump straight back to that saved line. It is made for essays, newsletters, blogs, documentation, and long articles where you want to return to a specific thought without making a full note. What DogEar does: • Saves line-level reading positions • Lets you return to saved lines from the popup • Works across normal article pages and blogs • Stores your saved lines locally in Chrome • Lets you delete saved dog ears whenever you want • Includes site controls so you can choose where DogEar is active DogEar is intentionally quiet. It is not a highlighter, note-taking app, or read-it-later queue. It is just a simple way to fold the corner of the web page you were reading. Privacy: DogEar stores saved line text, page titles, URLs, and anchor information locally in Chrome extension storage. Your saved lines are not sent to a server, sold, shared, or used for tracking.
