Docssier Capture

Click through a workflow and get a numbered, screenshotted draft guide in Docssier.

Writing documentation is hard. That is why this extension exists. Press Start capture, then click through the workflow the way you always do. Every click becomes a numbered step with the screenshot that goes with it, read off the page rather than generated. Press Stop, edit anything that needs editing, and save it into your Docssier account as a guide. WHAT IT RECORDS - The accessible name of what you click, so a step names the control the way the screen does - A screenshot of the tab at the moment of the press, with the recording bar hidden - Moving between tabs, and typing an address directly, because both are things a reader has to do WHAT IT DOES NOT RECORD Password, card, email and phone fields never enter a step. Anything in one of those fields is mosaicked out of the screenshot in your browser, before the picture is stored or uploaded. Mosaicking is on by default and can be turned off. WHERE IT GOES Your own Docssier account, over the session your browser already holds on an open Docssier tab. Nowhere else. No analytics, no third party, no server of ours in between. The extension never asks for a password. You need a Docssier account to save anything. Capture stays hidden until there is an account to save to.
