Docs Chat
Overview
Chat with an AI agent to edit the docs page you're looking at. Backends: Managed (no key), Claude, OpenAI, GitHub Models.
Docs Chat (by Glassdocs) turns any documentation site into something you can talk to — and edit. Open the side panel on a docs page and ask questions about what you're reading. Switch to Edit mode and the agent proposes concrete changes to the page's source in GitHub: you review a diff, then Apply to open a pull request or push a commit. Every change is attributed to your own GitHub identity. PICK YOUR BACKEND • Managed (no key) — the default. Sign in with GitHub and go; Glassdocs runs the AI, no API key to obtain. • Claude — bring your own Anthropic API key. • OpenAI — bring your own OpenAI API key. • GitHub Models — use GitHub's inference with a models-scoped token. HOW A SITE OPTS IN A docs site connects by emitting a single meta tag in its HTML: <meta name="source-repo" content="owner/repo"> No registry, no per-user setup. Sites built with Glassdocs templates emit it automatically. FOR TEAMS • Per-repo chat history and a diff-preview Apply/Cancel flow. • Direct-push or pull-request commit modes. • Enterprise deployment: admins can push a shared configuration (backend, optional shared key) via Chrome managed policy / Google Workspace, so staff never paste a key. GitHub sign-in stays per-user. PRIVACY Client-side by design. Page content is read only when you send a message, and only for the active tab. No tracking, no ads, no sale of data.
