Tracks your PACER fees and gives ECF downloads readable filenames. All data stays in your browser.

PACER charges you a dime a page, then hands you a quarterly bill you can't break down. Docket Dime fixes that. Every billable page in CM/ECF comes with a PACER transaction receipt. Nobody reads them. Docket Dime reads all of them and keeps a running ledger — date, case, what you pulled, billable pages, cost. Open the toolbar and you can see what this quarter has cost you, grouped by case or by client code, and export it to CSV for your billing records. It also gives your downloads names you can read. gov.uscourts.ord.123456.42.0.pdf becomes 2026-07-14 Dkt 42 - Motion to Dismiss.pdf, filed into a folder for that case. YOUR DATA NEVER LEAVES YOUR BROWSER No account. No server. No sync. No analytics. Docket Dime has no backend at all — your case captions and client codes stay on your machine, where they belong. A tool built for attorneys shouldn't ask attorneys to upload client information to a stranger's server. IT READS. IT DOES NOT TOUCH. Docket Dime never requests a page from PACER, never polls a docket, never files anything, and never attempts to avoid or alter billing. It reads receipts for pages you already opened and paid for, and takes notes. WHAT IT RECORDS - Every PACER charge, from PACER's own receipt — not an estimate - Totals by quarter, with the $30 fee waiver marked, because crossing it makes the whole quarter billable - Grouping by case or by client code (if you use PACER's client code field, your matter tagging comes along for free) - CSV export for billing, and a full backup you control WHAT IT DOESN'T DO - Calculate deadlines. That's deliberate — it's a bookkeeping tool, not a docketing system. - Cost anything. It's free, with no paid tier. RECONCILE AGAINST PACER Don't trust it — check it. Enter the total from PACER's own usage report and Docket Dime anchors to that figure, adding only what comes after. Re-anchor any time. WHICH DISTRICTS Built and tested in the District of Oregon. Fee tracking should work in any district — receipts come from PACER, not from the individual court, so the billing figures look the same everywhere. Case names and document descriptions are read from the docket itself, and those may not parse perfectly outside Oregon yet. If one doesn't, click it and type your own; nothing is locked. If a charge can't be read at all, the extension says so rather than skipping it quietly — you'll see the total marked "+" and a note telling you which charge to look up in PACER's own usage report.
