TagMap
Overview
See which analytics events fire on sites you choose, in real time — and save them as funnel references.
TagMap is a lightweight side panel for analysts and product managers who want to see which Segment analytics events a product is firing — without digging through a dashboard or asking a developer. OBSERVE Enable TagMap on a site, then watch its Segment events (track, page, identify) appear live in the side panel as you use the product. Expand any event to see the properties it carried. Clean, fast, no dashboard access needed. FUNNELS Capture the events that matter into a named funnel as you walk through a journey, then open it later as a reference while you build the analysis in your analytics tool. No more reconstructing event names from memory. WHAT IT SUPPORTS TagMap currently works with Segment only: sites using Segment's analytics.js (window.analytics) or analytics-next sending to api.segment.io. Other analytics tools — Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog and others — are not detected yet. On a site without Segment, the event feed stays empty. RUNS ONLY WHERE YOU SAY SO TagMap has no access to any website when you install it. It observes a site only after you open the panel and click "Enable TagMap on this site", and Chrome asks your permission for that one site. Every other site stays untouched, and you can switch a site off again at any time. Observe works immediately, with no sign-in. Sign in with Google only when you want to save a funnel so it persists across sessions and devices. Observed events never leave your browser — only the funnels you choose to save are stored in your account. TagMap is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Segment or Twilio.
