זמן מסך – הגנה בדפדפן הוא תוסף בטיחות למשפחות, שמסייע להורים להגן על ילדיהם בזמן גלישה. התוסף בודק מקומית, במחשב שלך, את התוכן הגלוי בדפי האינטרנט שבהם הילד גולש, ומזהה מילים וביטויים מסוכנים או פוגעניים בקטגוריות שההורה בחר: אלימות, פגיעה עצמית, בריונות, תוכן מבוגרים ועוד. כשמזוהה מונח כזה, התוסף שולח להורה התראה מצומצמת בלבד: שם האתר, הקטגוריה והמילה שזוהתה — בלי לשלוח את תוכן הדף המלא, בלי לקרוא שדות הקלדה וסיסמאות, ובלי לעקוב אחרי ההיסטוריה. התוסף עובד יחד עם התוכנה „זמן מסך" המותקנת במחשב. פרטיות הילד נשמרת: העיבוד מתבצע במקומי, ונשלח רק המידע הדרוש להורה כדי לדעת שיש חשש.
