Overview

Open Postman collection exports as clean, searchable API docs with cURL samples and saved responses. Everything stays local.

Postman Collection Viewer turns a Postman collection file into clean, readable API documentation that opens right in Chrome. A collection export is a long JSON file that's hard to read outside Postman. Paste it into this extension or drop the file in, and you get a documentation page for every request in the collection: what it's called, the address it calls, what it needs and what it returns. It's a fast way to understand an API you've been handed, review a teammate's collection, or check how an endpoint works without opening Postman. What you get • Every endpoint on one page, grouped by folder, with a sidebar and a search box to jump straight to what you need • The details of each request: URL, parameters, headers, body and authorization • A ready-to-copy cURL command for every request, so you can try it in a terminal straight away • The collection's saved example responses, with status codes and neatly formatted bodies • A switch between {{variable}} placeholders and the collection's real values, with secrets kept hidden • Print or save the docs as a PDF to share them How to use it 1. In Postman, export your collection (••• → Export → Collection v2.1). 2. Click the extension's toolbar icon and paste the file's contents, or open the import page and drop the file. 3. The docs open in a new tab. Collections you import are saved in the popup so you can come back to them. Want to look around first? Click "Try the sample" in the popup. Private by design Your collections stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and there's no account, analytics or tracking. Postman is a trademark of Postman, Inc.
