Article Reader starts playback when you click the toolbar icon, so you can listen while working in another window or taking a screen break. 🚀 Quick start 1. Open the content you want to hear. 2. Click the icon to start with your saved settings. 3. Use the player to pause or move between paragraphs. No sign-up or account is needed. Use the browser voices already available on your device. 🔊 What you can do 💠 Read article out loud: listen to the main content 💠 Read selected text: highlight a passage, right-click and choose Read selection 💠 Pause and resume without starting the passage again 💠 Move to the previous or next paragraph 💠 Change the voice or speed while listening This article reader app keeps the controls together. Select Show settings to adjust playback, and follow the highlighted text on the article page. 🎚️ Choose your pace 1️⃣ Set the speed from 0.5x to 3x. 2️⃣ Use Preview to hear a sample before choosing. 3️⃣ Choose a voice for each language. Adjust the reading speed for detailed guides or familiar topics. There is no need to copy its contents into a separate text to voice tool. 💡 Follow the text - See the current paragraph highlighted on the page - Let the document scroll along during playback - Listen to the player read aloud text from your current tab - Turn highlighting and scrolling off when you prefer Reading an article alongside the audio gives you a choice: follow each paragraph or listen away from the screen. Choose one that matches the language of the content. Your choice is saved for that language. With a local voice, the tts engine can speak content that is already loaded without an internet connection. Offline read aloud works with loaded content; it does not save websites for later. 📌 Can it read me an article from every website? 🔹 Some pages are not supported, including browser settings, the Chrome Web Store and the built-in PDF viewer. If nothing plays, try selecting a passage. 📌 Can it read me this article if it is not in English? 🔹 Yes, if your browser has a suitable voice. Choose the matching language in the player. The content is spoken in its original language, not translated. 📌 Can I ask it to read articles to me one after another? 🔹 Start each page yourself. There is no playlist or automatic switch to the next document. 📌 Can it read to me without sending content to the cloud? 🔹 The text is passed to the browser's speech engine.
