Overview
Connects Google Meet (and, if you allow it, Teams and Zoom on the web) to the Sidekick app on this Mac. Talks only to 127.0.0.1.
Sidekick is a private meeting sidekick that runs on your Mac. This extension is its eyes in your browser calls: it tells the Sidekick app which meeting you're in, who is in the call, whether you're muted, and who is speaking (from the call's live captions when you turn them on). It sends this to the Sidekick app on your own computer (127.0.0.1) and nowhere else. Google Meet works right away. Microsoft Teams and Zoom in the browser are optional: turn them on from the toolbar popup and your browser asks for access to those sites only then. Turn them off and the access is removed. It reads only what the call page already shows on screen. It does not record audio, read chat messages, or contact any server. Without the Sidekick app installed it does nothing.
