Glassframe Connector
Overview
Watch a Chrome tab's video as a see-through, click-through overlay on your Mac while you work. Requires the Glassframe app.
Watch a video while you work — without it getting in the way. Glassframe Connector sends the video from a Chrome tab to the Glassframe app on your Mac, which shows it as a see-through, click-through overlay. Keep a lecture, tutorial or stream playing at 10–40% visibility in a corner while you keep coding, writing or browsing underneath it. HOW IT WORKS - Only the video is shown — cropped automatically, following scrolling and theater mode - Keeps playing when the tab is in the background or Chrome is covered - Uses your existing Chrome sign-in, so your subscriptions and playback position stay as they are - Start from the right-click menu ("Show this video in Glassframe"), the toolbar button, or Control + Shift + G - Play, pause and skip from Glassframe without switching tabs PRIVATE BY DESIGN - Video goes only to the Glassframe app on the same Mac (127.0.0.1) — never to a server - No accounts, no analytics, no ads - Audio is not captured - Nothing is shared until you choose a tab REQUIREMENTS - The Glassframe app for macOS 14 or later - Protected (DRM) streaming services such as Netflix are not supported
