Sutra

Overview
Search, fill, copy, capture, and insert prompts from your local Sutra library.
✨ Sutra is a local-first prompt manager for people who reuse, refine, and organize prompts across AI chat tools. New in 0.2.0: - YouTube transcript explain: on YouTube watch pages, Sutra can capture available captions in memory and open a user-reviewed explain prompt in ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. - Extension help links: popup help buttons now open Sutra’s web docs for ;; insertion, local-library behavior, and site integrations. - Better web-app bridge handling: the web app can detect older installed extensions and show an update/reload prompt instead of raw connection errors. Use the Chrome extension to: - Search your saved prompt library from the popup. - Fill prompt variables before copying or inserting. - Copy rendered or raw prompt text. - Save selected page text as a new prompt. - Right-click selected text and open ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini with an “Explain this” prompt ready to review. - Type ;; in supported AI sites to open a prompt picker and insert a saved prompt without leaving the chat. - Edit prompt title, description, tags, folder assignment, and body from the extension popup. - Import and export Sutra JSON backups. - 🌐 Supported insertion sites: - ChatGPT - Claude - Gemini - Google AI Studio Sutra stores your prompt library locally in your browser profile. The web app and extension can share the same local library in the same browser profile when the extension bridge is available. No account is required for the current local workflow, and cloud sync is not part of this release. 🔒 Privacy posture: - Prompt titles, bodies, tags, folders, variable values, and explicit feedback stay local. - The extension does not auto-send prompts. - The extension does not store raw AI replies. - The extension does not collect analytics or telemetry. - The web app uses GA4 site analytics only after explicit consent and does not send prompt content. - The extension only accesses supported AI chat pages to show the Sutra picker, detect the ;; trigger, insert user-selected prompt text, and support user-triggered context-menu launch.
